Remember that heated, heartfelt email to your boss that he took great exception to? Or the juicy gossip that you accidentally forwarded to your MySpace friends – including the subject of your gossip. If you use one of the popular email services, once it was sent, it gone for good, never ever to be recalled by you. Not so with BigString.

What is the New BigString.com Email Service?

BigString.com is a web-based email service provider that is pretty similar to Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Hotmail and Lycos. However, unlike the standard webmail account, BigString’s patented technology makes it possible for you to recall, delete, edit and even self-destruct an email message that you have already sent out, even if it has already been opened.

How BigString Email Works

When you send out an email using the BigString service, the message will be stored on the BigString server. When the recipient receives and opens your email, the message is retrieved directly from the BigString server. It is this feature that makes it possible for you to recall and erase an email message if you change your mind.

BigString.com has developed a system that works similarly to image-based spam email, which prevents certain email images and messages from being saved or even printed. These email images and messages can be configured to be read a specified number of times, to be recalled or to "self-destruct" after a specified period.
